Elevating CX in South Africa: CX Centric Conversation Summary.

On the 20th of March we hosted our CX Centric Conversation which was titled “Elevating Customer Experience in South Africa”. The event was mainly for our South African community. We had Nobuhle Mashaya and Katlego Maphutha as our keynote speakers. 

Our keynote speakers touched on pertinent issues around CX in South Africa. Katlego concentrated more on SME business funding in South Africa, highlighting how his organization has leveraged CX make the business funding process more seamless to clients. Nobuhle, touched on how CX has made their social media engagement more customer centric.

The following were some of the key takeaways from our keynote speakers:

  • SMEs in South Africa are the backbone of the economy as they have contributed about 40% to the South African GDP

  • SMEs are projected to create 60% new jobs between now and 2030

  • Social media is shaping perceptions on products and services

  • South African consumers are most active on Facebook and Instagram

  • Personalized content helps maintain brand perception and trust in customers.
